Wood Lane station progress

Continuing my run of posts about Shepherd's Bush, here's a picture of construction progress on the new Wood Lane station, on the Hammersmith & City Line at the opposite corner of the shopping centre from the other stations.

Due to open November this year, looks like it will. No snarking about platform width.

Sorry - it's unrelated to this story but have you seen this dogs dinner in the making?

I passed on a H&C train a few days ago and the superstructure for both platforms is largely in place. This one should open on time at least.

I can confirm that the new Wood Lane station on the Hammersmith & City line was open today, when I arrived just after 0900. It's the first new station on an existing and unextended Tube line for over 70 years!

As already stated there's no ticket office - just loads of ticket machines. However there were staff on the station and there appears to be a control room at the entrance to the station.
