Imperial Wharf construction begins!

If you believe this press release or this press release, they've finally started work on site at Imperial Wharf station, just 5 short years after it was approved (in May 2003). Hurrah for St George!

[Thanks to Rick for the tip]

I expect a lot of work has already been going on behind the scenes. Calculating platform widths, positioning of lamp standards on the plans...

And don't forget, installing signs of a defunct train operator.

Good point - to judge by recent performance, by the time Imperial Wharf is finally opened there is a fair chance London Overground's concession to operate the WLL will have come to the end of its life.

Assuming rising sea levels haven't inundated the riverside location beforehand, that is.

Will there be a pedestrian link across the river? Or can you walk across that bridge already?

The river is much narrower than at Blackfriats, and this might increase patronage.
